WAP enclosure

Recommended Posts

Hi Ryan,

I believe that we can but the signal may be degraded. For APs that has antennas, it would be best if the antennas can be mounted outside the enclosure so that the enclosure will not affect the signal.

Why would Engenius not build it's own Wireless Access Points Enclosures? It will be good for our client's who's AP's are installed on hazardous or extreme environmental conditions.

Can we use this with our APs and routers that are using internal antennas? http://www.reviewwirelessrouters.com/review-netbox-aesthetic-locking-indoor-routerwap-enclos/

Do you mean put AP's PCBA into the enclosure and using internal antenna?

As Joel said, it can be done and workable. You could set internal antenna if the enclosure is plastic, but could not guarantee the performance of antenna is good.
