EnStationAC Possible PoE Injector Issue

Recommended Posts

Two EnStationACs not powering on using the PoE injectors that came with them. Power LED on the PoE injector lights up. They will only power on when using a 5 inch long ethernet cable. Does not power on using a 60 foot long cable. Cable was already tested. Is it safe to say that the PoE injectors are defective?

Do you indicate that EnStationAC could not power on via attached EPA5006GP when using 60 foot ethernet cable?

Some cable testers are just signal testers and may indicate that the Ethernet cable passes the signal test. However, a pass on the signal test does not necessarily mean that the Ethernet cable is good enough to pass power and data.

Exactly, we have used ethernet cable with bad quality, then faced same problem ( could not power up device via PoE ).

The reason is bad quality cable cause the problem of attenuating voltage too much.
