Set Idle Time out

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to set "Idle time out "session for Guest Network on EWS350AP (without using the hotspot services of a controller) ?

Its a good feature to be added. However, in the mean time there isn't an option on the Guest network on a standalone EWS350AP.

Idle time out and other parameters for Guest users can only be tweak via Hotspot services of the controller.

Maybe it's something that we can add on our APs that has Guest Access feature.

Is there a way for us to set a lease time for the guest network so that once the customer is connected to the specific time, the wireless client will automatically gets disconnected?

Does this mean that even though the device is still active and is browsing the internet , if they reach that "lease time" , they will be automatically disconnected from the guest network?

The Guest Network on EWS access point is very straight-forward. If I'm not mistaken, the lease time is default to 1 day. However, there isn't any option to adjust it and I honestly have no clue if it will be added in the future.

If there's no expiration of guest account, client can just reconnect to guest network even after lease time.
