  1. I noticed that the majority of the ESR & EPG Firewalls on our network are locking up due to botnet activity. I ran across the link above and it looks like this activity has been going on for a few months. Are there any work around to stop/prevent this activity? And is there any headway on a new patch being released? Thanks, Curt
  2. Hello friends, I'm a bit of a noob and need some good advice about static IP and how best to implement it on my network. I'm a home office and there are 14 devices in the network, if we include the 2 cell phones using wi-fi. 2 of my devices are NAS and I use Windows Credentials to access them. This is why I want to use static IP. I already know how to set static IP on my machines and the NAS. What I'm wondering is: are there any 'gotchas' with static IP? and how would I go about implementing it on my EnGenius ESR350? Also: can I have a mixture of static and dynamic IPs? I'll probably have more intelligent questions as I progress. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Ken
  3. I am a reseller and I have had 4 routers this week to just brick on me. I am not sure if it was an autoupdate that is doing it or what. I fixed the problem after speaking to a Engenuis Tech who had no help for me since they were out of warranty by 6 months. If you have this problem you will notice that the power light will be red ,the wan light will blink steady blue, no wifi light. First you need to log into your router with the ip address subnet mask You will have to set a static IP on your computer in the same network. You will need to download the new firmware from the web site. this article has a link for each devices firmware. https://helpcenter.engeniustech.com/hc/en-us/articles/115009719768-EnShare-Exploit-Firmware-fix after the update finishes you can log into the router through its web interface with the defaut username and password.
  4. First time users trying to setup their Engenius router will be automatically redirected to the Engenius Setup Wizard when they open a browser and attempt to go online. Otherwise, in your web browser type in the following URL: or
  5. Theoretically, router with class C network can hand out up 253 addresses other than itself. But do SOHO routers really have the computing power to serve 253 devices? What would be a realistic number of clients (wired and wireless)?
  6. I've tried blocking Facebook on the EPG600 and EPG5000 by configuring the parental control to block the Facebook url. Unfortunately this does not work because Facebook is secured aka using https. Turns out that a lot of home routers can't block https sites. Is there a way to block https sites on our out IoT and Cloud routers?
