  1. I noticed that the majority of the ESR & EPG Firewalls on our network are locking up due to botnet activity. I ran across the link above and it looks like this activity has been going on for a few months. Are there any work around to stop/prevent this activity? And is there any headway on a new patch being released? Thanks, Curt
  2. Hello, I want to make a VPN connection between 4 x EPG5000 to create a network that allows me to have all computers of four different locations connected with four different modems in the same network. So, one EPG5000 should be the master and the others will be clients. Can anyone send me a manual about the configuration of the equipment and tell me what else do I need? Do I need a fixed IP? Any service that I have to contract apart? Any recommendations? Appreciate your help a lot! Best Kai

Hi, after firmware upgrade of my EPG5000 Firmware version 1.03.14, the IP camera EDS1130 configuration can't be accessed anymore. not wired connected to my laptop nor by default IP adress Hard resets executed but didn't solve the issue. 4. Hi, The default DDNS on my router shows disconnected, but the UID shows connected. I am able to see the IP Cams connected to the router and even could see the router on enviewer application. But for some reasons, it is not connecting to any of the cameras or failed to login to the enshare application remotely. I have been using the same configuration for the past 2 years, and started observing these issues now. Enshare applications and IP cams works on local network. Appreciate any help on this. Thanks and Regards, Ajeesh B Nair
  5. I have EPG5000 with two SSIDs, one for family and other for guests. On my family network I have set up DNS to use the Opendns.com , simple way to block unwanted content. This I have done in WAN settings But when I connect to Guest network client will use ISP's default DNS address, not the opendns.com DNS server address as I want. There is very few IP setting on Guest network settings, just a DNCP pool. I would like to control the Guest network usage, specially if guest kinds are using it.

  7. Theoretically, router with class C network can hand out up 253 addresses other than itself. But do SOHO routers really have the computing power to serve 253 devices? What would be a realistic number of clients (wired and wireless)?
  8. I've tried blocking Facebook on the EPG600 and EPG5000 by configuring the parental control to block the Facebook url. Unfortunately this does not work because Facebook is secured aka using https. Turns out that a lot of home routers can't block https sites. Is there a way to block https sites on our out IoT and Cloud routers?
