  1. I updated my ECB1750 to the newest firmware (v3.0.0.4) a few days ago and ever since it has been rebooting every 1-3 hours when I'm home, 5-6 hours when I'm away. Tonight I reset defaults and reconfigured everything hoping that would fix it but it's still rebooting. Does anyone have any ideas on fixing this? I pulled out my old ECB9500 because this is driving me crazy.
  2. Hi, It would be nice to also see the current IP address of all the devices in the connection list and also a timer how long they are connected. One step further would be the possibility to give each MAC address a specific name. Regards, Geert
  3. I just updated my ECB1750 to the newest firmware 1.3.3.38. Now I have only two options for 5GHz wireless channels, I can no longer select individual channels to select. This is a problem as I have a dense population of APs. Is anyone else seeing this? Anyway to get the individual channel selections back?
  4. After installation of chromecast, it connects to wifi, it is not acceable bij phone or tablet. It works with a normal router but not wit this AP. Client Isolation is not active. Any help here? Frank
  5. As advertised the ECB1750 should have 29dbm TX power. It is only going to 28, how to get 29dbm power? FW: 1.3.1 //Frank
  6. The 802.11ac protocol has a number of enhancements that have been implemented in multiple phases. Wider Channel Widths 80 MHz channels (contiguous) 160 MHz channels (contiguous or two non-contiguous 80 MHz slices) 256-QAM (Quadrature amplitude modulation) Provides a 33% increase in throughput over the 64-QAM used in 11n Downlink Multi-user MIMO Allows 1 AP to transmit unique data to multiple stations simultaneously Up to 8 spatial streams Compared to a maximum of 4 spatial streams in 11n Up to 8 spatial streams in both single-user and multi-user modes No more than 4 spatial streams per station in multi-user mode Other Enhancements Single sounding & feedback format for beam forming (as opposed to multiple, incompatible formats in 11n) Coexistence mechanisms Independent virtual carrier sense in sub-channels
  7. Customers are asking where to buy the antenna since their antenna broke.
  8. Topic: What are the typical roaming problems? Scenario: Doctors uses iPad mini`s to view patient records and they are experiencing roaming issues. Answer: 1. Roaming aggressiveness of the wireless client is too high. - Wireless client roams between multiple AP`s, even though signal strength is stable. 2. Roaming aggressiveness of the wireless client is too low. - Wireless client is “sticky” to a particular AP, even though stronger AP is available. Solution: 1. Control the transmit power of each device. - Properly set the transmit power in reference to its location, physical obstructions or type of environment and wireless interference from neighbouring AP`s. - We recommend to set the transmit power initially to 14dBm on the 2.4GHz and 20dBm on the 5GHz then have an incremental of 3dBm if necessary. It is suggested to use an RSSI Tool to help identify the transmit power the AP needs. 2. Set a relative Fast Handover/ RSSI Threshold value. - Some wireless client devices retains connection to a weak signal even if there`s a stronger one available. - Set the RSSI Threshold/ Fast Handover value to -80dBm. It will force the client device to disconnect from the AP thus allowing it to scan and connect to a stronger signal. Applicable devices: EWS360AP, EWS350AP, EWS320AP, EWS310AP, EWS510AP, ECB1750, ECB1200, EAP1750H, and EAP1200H.
  9. If the 2.4GHz radio on the dual-band AP is set to Client bridge, WDS-Bridge or WDS Station then the option to set the 5GHz radio to Client Bridge, WDS-Bridge or WDS Station does not appear and vice versa.
