Ethernet Cable Length

When used for 10/100/1000BASE-T, the maximum allowed length of a Cat 6 cable is 100 meters or 328 feet.

Hi Derrick,

    The rule also can be applied on the cat5e up to 100m or 328 feet.

The quality of material that cable used is also an important concern.

Bad quality cable leads to high voltage loss, then the allowed length would be shorter than 100m or 328 feet.
