  1. I have two EAP600 on different ceilings of a house. Both are directly wired to a Netgear GS752TP switch with 48 port PoE. The switch in turn is connected to a cable modem + router from the local cable company Spectrum (formerly Oceanic Cable) with its wireless disabled. Internet is intermittently sluggish. I want both EAP600 setup so they receive Internet via the switch and someone can go between access points without disconnecting from one to connect to the other and without a reduction in signal due to being connected together. I've attached screenshots and a diagram of the configuration. Can someone tell me if I have configure it correctly? Also does the two EAP600 being different H/W and S/W version make any difference? Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information. EAP600.pdf
  2. I'm at a small school, where I have about 30 EAP600 spread over several buildings, all with a common SSID. To this point, the network has run as a very large open hotspot. There's not even a captive portal on the network; anyone can just get on and use the internet. We like it like this. It makes it very easy for students, alumni, and guests to get on the network. But I'd also like to offer a more secure option for those who understand the important of having their traffic encrypted over the air. To that end, I now have a RADIUS server running that is connected to our Active Directory. I am able to set the EAP600's to use WPA2 with the RADIUS server to log in with my Active Directory credentials. Yay. However, I would like to use a different vlan assignment based on group membership in Active Directory. This works now in a newer building that has a different model access point, and I can see the VLAN attribute set in the radius logs. However, the EAP600's are not honoring this setting. I end up on the vlan chosen for the SSID in the web config for the access point, and I don't see a place where I can tell it to accept the vlan from RADIUS. Is it possible for EAP600 APs to use a VLAN chosen by RADIUS per connection?
  3. Electron Series EAP600 in comparison to Neutron Series EWS310AP
  4. Scenario: EAP600s are both hardwired to a PoE switch. All the lights are “ON” on one of the EAP600’s and all lights are “OFF” for the other one. But even turning “OFF” the EAP600 that has all of its lights “ON” computer is still online wirelessly. Fix: Access the WEB UI of the EAP600 and check the settings for LED Control. Setting them to “ON” will turn on the LED indicators.
  5. If the 2.4GHz radio on the dual-band AP is set to Client bridge, WDS-Bridge or WDS Station then the option to set the 5GHz radio to Client Bridge, WDS-Bridge or WDS Station does not appear and vice versa.
