  1. I have an application with 3 VLANS and want to use band steering to push traffic to 5.0 GHz preferably. I set the transmit power at 13 dBm (-13 dBm actually) and 19 dBm for the 2.4 and 5.0 GHz bands respectively. Each VLAN is set for the same security (WPA Mixed) on both 2.4 and 5.0 GHz bands. VLAN1 has the same SSID and same PSK on both bands; VLAN 30 has the same SSID and same PSK on both bands; VLAN 40 has the same SSID and same PSK on both bands. The PSK differs from one VLAN to the next. When I go to save the band steering I receive the error “order for Band Steering function to work properly, both 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSID and Security Settings must be the same” and it does not save. However they ARE the same. The firmware is the latest available, 3.0.1.9_c1.8.59.bin. The VLANS are vlan 1, 30, and 40 as was set up on the router and this works for wired connections.
